October 11, 2019 – Batac City, Ilocos Norte
The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office I in partnership with the Office of Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba, distributed the Notice of Award (NOA) for full, half merit, and Tulong Dunong grantees of the CHED scholarship program in the province of Ilocos Norte last October 11, 2019 at the Imelda Cultural Center in Batac City.
Majority of the scholarship coordinators of the various higher education institutions in the province were present during the event. Out of 759 Tulong Dunong (TDP) grantees, 649 came to receive their NOA. From a total of 30 regular grantees, 25 scholars attended, making the attendance successful with an 85.42% turn out.
Congressman Barba in his message said that education is one of his top priorities as elected official of the province and shall continue to seek possibilities to advocate a brighter future for the youth through education.
The CHED Scholarship program is one among the many programs of the Philippine government to provide opportunities for the Filipino youth to nurture their skills and potentials through quality tertiary education.
